Coach for College
Coach for College is an evidence-based program to improve educational outcomes and enhance life skills for disadvantaged middle school children. Parker Goyer— a Duke University tennis star and Oxford and Harvard graduate turned social entrepreneur— created the program to engage disadvantaged students in developing countries with coaching in sports and academics by top U.S. and local college students.
Our flagship SPELL Scholarship program, launched in 2004 in Vietnam, targets students from the poorest 10% of impoverished families; provides them funding for school fees, books, and uniforms; and ensures they participate in intensive academic tutoring. Other scholarship programs have grown out of the SPELL model, including support for university study. Altogether, over 14,000 students have received scholarships with tutoring support, equipping them with the education they need for better life prospects.Learn More
