Output-Based Aid

Unlike traditional development programs where vendors are paid upfront to deliver a product or service, Output-Based Aid (OBA) makes payments based on verified results after implemetation of the technology or service.

OBA means people will not only reach out for clean water and sanitation, they will also sell the idea to others, and that’s when communities evolve for good.

Donate to programs that motivate people to act decisively on behalf of themselves and their communities.

To date, OBA projects have delivered 120,000 hygienic latrines to households in Vietnam and 50,000 to households in Cambodia. More than 43,000 rural households have been connected to water systems with an average cost per household connection that is half the cost of comparable government systems.
