In June 2021, the project named “Turn waste into the nutrition” of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu won the second prize in the “Innovative women in developing solutions to improve sanitation and clean water for climate change adaption and social integration”. The contest is under the framework of the Women-Led Output Based project, funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and implemented by East Meets West Foundation.
To start the project, Ms. Thu organized a training course on growing safe vegetables for 19 members of women union in An Phu Trung commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province on November 13, 2021. It is the first implementation project of six awarded projects after being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic for a long time. We hope that the remaining projects will be deployed and realize the ideas soon to achieve the project goals on gender equality and women empowerment.
